Art in La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico

El Gato has been in the Sea of Cortez for a few months now, cruising around and between the islands.  In that time, we have returned to La Paz several times in order to renew our 4-year Mexican citizenship and reprovision El Gato,  as pickins’ are slim in the islands.

La Paz is a very cool city, with a fantastic malecon, very good restaurants, and my favorite ice cream shop!  In the cool evenings after dinner, we often stroll the malecon watching the families enjoying the waterfront and savoring our helados.

During the day, while Jeff is busy doing stuff on El Gato, I venture out on frequent Urban Hikes, wandering the city streets, purposefully getting lost. I always have my phone camera handy on these expeditions, and recently, La Paz officials invited several artists from around the country to hone their trade on the walls of various buildings. I made a game of finding different ones and photographing them.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
